EDUCATION HUNGRY - Charles McJilton - Lance E. Lee Podcast - Episode #234
Challenges have marked Charles McJilton's life journey, but his
resilience and determination have transformed his story into an
inspiring one. Despite a tumultuous upbringing, he found strength in
sobriety at a young age and discovered a new sense of purpose serving in
the US Navy. Later, he made the unconventional choice to live with
Jesuit priests in Tokyo's "slum" district, where he found a deeper
connection to his faith. When faced with the prospect of fatherhood,
Charles embraced the responsibility and stayed in Japan to raise his
child. Today, he is a successful professor at Sophia University and
cherishes his role as a loving father to his four children.
