TRULY MR. TENNIS - Allen Krissman - Lance E. Lee Podcast Episode #13

Well known and revered in the community as “Mr. Tennis,” Allen Krissman of Krissman International Tennis School came to Japan 30 years ago at the height of the financial bubble. He introduced the American style of teaching tennis, what the Japanese coaches and players yearned for: the aggressive attack game. Driven by the love of the sport, Allen plunged into the booming Japanese tennis market, teaching the individualistic sport to hundreds of players, from the young to the mature. Allen is passionate about teaching as a life skill. He is formulating a technique that he fondly calls “vintage tennis” so players can continue to play well into their 70s and 80s. He believes playing tennis contributes to longevity due to physical movement, cognitive skill enhancement, and the social interaction element of the sport. I salute Allen for his accomplishments from one-lifetime teacher to another, and I hope to join him in the courts someday!
