Today's guest Wolfgang Bierer has this inclination to challenge himself, from age 14, he was essentially self-made and financially independent. Wolfgang stepped foot in Niigata as a lifeguard with an exchange program between Germany and Japan. From a social referral, he secured an internship with Hitachi and Wolfgang returned to Japan while studying for a master's degree in electrical engineering. The experience in Japan with the degree was a plus in getting multiple job offers in Germany. Still, Wolfgang chose Hitachi Software Japan, where he was a unit manager of the international department. After several years, he pivoted to consulting, acquiring his company Endeavor SBC, now thriving for 16 years. Besides providing process optimization services to corporations, Wolfgang also delved into retail management, and he has been running various fashion and sports apparel stores throughout Japan.
